Entry requirements for UK students

  • Open to UK residents, including British and Irish citizens and people with settled or pre-settled status.
  • Adults returning to education are very welcome. You will have a friendly interview, and we help you prepare.
  • A routine DBS check and health clearance are arranged for you before the course starts, as for every student in this profession.
  • You will need photo ID and proof of address dated within the last month. If you are not a British or Irish citizen, you will also need a share code.

Fees and funding

Eligible home students can apply to Student Finance England for a Tuition Fee Loan, paid directly to the institution, and a Maintenance Loan to help with living costs. Repayments only start once you have finished and earn above the repayment threshold.

Students on eligible nursing, midwifery and allied health courses in England can also apply to the NHS Learning Support Fund for a non-repayable training grant of at least £5,000 a year.
