BA (Hons) Business and Management with Foundation Year
Start with a supportive foundation year, then progress straight onto a full business degree. No recent qualifications needed.
Whether you are leaving school, changing career or returning to education after many years, there is a route into higher education for you, and it can usually be funded through Student Finance.
You are usually treated as a home student if you are a British or Irish citizen, or have settled or pre-settled status, and you have lived in the UK for the three years before your course starts. Other immigration statuses may also qualify. Eligibility also depends on whether you have studied at this level before.
A Tuition Fee Loan covers your course fees and is paid directly to the institution. A Maintenance Loan helps with living costs and is paid into your bank account at the start of each term; the amount depends on household income and where you live.
You may also qualify for extra, non-repayable support such as the Childcare Grant, the Parents' Learning Allowance, the Adult Dependants' Grant and Disabled Students' Allowance.
You only repay once you have left your course and your income is above the repayment threshold. Repayments are a percentage of what you earn above that threshold, are taken automatically through the tax system, and any balance is written off after a set number of years. The current thresholds are published on GOV.UK, and we will explain how they apply to you.
If you are 21 or over, many of our programmes do not require recent exam results. Instead, you will usually have a short interview and a written task. Degrees with a foundation year are designed specifically for people returning to study.
Many programmes are timetabled over two or three days a week, with evening and weekend options at some campuses.
