Course overview

This subject gives you practical, job-ready technical skills, starting with programming and moving into systems, data and security. Learning is hands-on: you will write code, configure systems and build projects you can show to employers. This pathway adds focused study in cyber security, so you graduate with a specialism employers can see.

Higher National qualifications are practical, career-focused awards assessed through assignments rather than exams. An HND is equivalent to the first two years of a degree, and many graduates go on to a one-year top-up for a full honours degree.
