BSc (Hons) Computing
Learn to build, secure and manage software and systems, from programming fundamentals to cloud, data and cyber security.
Start from the basics of maths and programming, then continue onto a full computing degree covering software, data, networks and security.
You do not need to be a programmer already to study computing. The foundation year starts with the mathematical thinking and problem-solving behind computer science, introduces your first programming language, and gives you time to build confidence before the degree proper begins.
From year two you study software development, databases, networking, web technologies, cloud computing and cyber security, finishing with a substantial technical project. Graduates leave with practical skills for one of the UK's most in-demand sectors.
For career changers and returners who are interested in technology but have no formal background in it.
