BSc (Hons) Computing with Foundation Year
Start from the basics of maths and programming, then continue onto a full computing degree covering software, data, networks and security.
Learn to build, secure and manage software and systems, from programming fundamentals to cloud, data and cyber security.
This degree is designed for people who want to make technology work, not just use it. You start with programming, databases and networks, writing real code from the first weeks, and then progress to web and mobile development, cloud platforms, data analysis and the essentials of cyber security.
Projects are a core part of the course. You will work in small teams the way development teams do in industry, using version control, agile planning and code review. Your final-year project is a substantial piece of software or a technical investigation that you can show to employers as evidence of what you can do.
Suited to problem-solvers who enjoy logic and building things, including career changers who have taught themselves some coding and now want a recognised qualification.
