A supported four-year route into health and care leadership, starting with a foundation year that builds study confidence.
This programme opens up a health and social care degree to people who have the experience and the commitment but not the formal qualifications. The foundation year introduces academic writing, reflective practice and the basics of health, wellbeing and care, at a pace that fits around family and work.
You then progress onto the full honours degree, studying safeguarding, public health, mental health, social policy and leadership in care. Your own experience of care work becomes a real asset in seminars and assessments.
For carers, support workers and people returning to education who want a degree that leads to more responsibility and better pay.

Eligible home students can apply to Student Finance England for a Tuition Fee Loan, paid straight to the institution, and a Maintenance Loan to help with living costs. You only start repaying once you finish and earn above the repayment threshold.
