BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care with Foundation Year
A supported four-year route into health and care leadership, starting with a foundation year that builds study confidence.
Understand how health and care services are organised and delivered, and prepare for leadership roles across the NHS, councils and charities.
Health and social care in the UK faces rising demand, complex needs and constant change. This degree looks at how services are planned, funded and delivered, and at the people who rely on them. You will study public health, safeguarding, mental health, social policy and the law and ethics that shape care work.
Many students on this course already work in care settings, and the teaching makes the most of that experience through reflective practice and case discussion. You finish with a management-ready understanding of quality, leadership and service improvement, and a research project linked to an area of practice you care about.
Perfect for care workers, healthcare assistants and support staff who want to progress, and for anyone drawn to a career helping people in the community.
