LLB (Hons) Law
A rigorous qualifying law degree covering the foundations of English law, with a strong emphasis on legal writing, argument and advocacy.
A supported four-year route into a full law degree, starting with a foundation year in legal reasoning, writing and research.
Law has a reputation for being difficult to get into, but a foundation year changes that. In your first year you learn how to read cases and statutes, structure an argument and write clearly, while being introduced to the English legal system and the key ideas of justice and rights.
You then progress onto the full LLB, covering contract, criminal, public, tort and land law, equity and trusts, and a dissertation. You graduate with the same honours degree as students who joined directly, and the same routes on to the SQE or the Bar.
For motivated people with an interest in law who do not yet meet the standard entry requirements for a law degree.
